Description

The Bigfoot Sign Holder pairs efficiency with affordability. Packed in a small 345mm by 150mm frame, the Bigfoot allows holding any sign from 2mm up to 5mm of thickness. Having a sturdy, heavy and low centre of gravity makes it extremely windproof and virtually collapse-proof. On top of this, it comes equipped with a locking nut that will fix the substrate/insert into place.

  • Takes substrates 2mm-5mm thick
  • 345mmL x 150mmW x 65mmH
  • Weighs 2kgs
  • Made from Recycled material
  • Includes plastic locking screw and nut
  • Packaged individually

The recommended size for high wind areas is 600mmW x 450mmH.

You can add additional bases for wider signs.

Wind Resistance

The Bigfoot has been tested to withstand winds of up to 23.6km/h.

If a gust of wind were to blow over a Bigfoot, it would likely cause it to lie down and stay in that position. In this scenario, the sign would remain attached to the base, so there wouldn’t be any immediate danger or risk to the client or passersby.

On the other hand, if a flute sheet sign attached to a wire stake were to be blown over by a strong gust of wind, there is a possibility that the flute sheet (thin plastic or corrugated material) could come off and be carried down the street by the wind. This could leave the wire stake protruding from the ground, which could be potentially dangerous as it may pose a risk to people or cause damage to property

Why choose the Bigfoot over Wire Stakes?

Wire Stakes are an inadequate solution when trying to use them in concrete, asphalt, limestone or any other hard terrain. Thanks to Bigfoot’s integrated studs, there’s virtually no situation where you wouldn’t be able to use it.

Plus, the truth is that councils around Australia are starting to pay attention to possible OH&S concerns that may arise with the use of Wire Stakes, from being a tripping hazard to the pointy ends that may cause serious injury. This led us to create the Bigfoot – a soft, low-profile, no-sharp-edges sign holder that is the dream of any Health and Safety inspector.
